Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed with genital herpes a couple of years ago, and I’ve been trying to find ways to manage the outbreaks and live as normally as possible. I’ve been on antiviral medication, which helps reduce the frequency of outbreaks, but I’m also looking for other ways to manage the symptoms and prevent triggers.
Here’s what has worked for me so far:
– Daily suppressive therapy : Taking antiviral medication daily has helped keep outbreaks under control.
– Stress management : Stress seems to be a big trigger for me, so I’ve been practicing yoga and meditation regularly.
– Dietary changes : I’ve noticed that avoiding certain foods like chocolate and nuts helps prevent flare-ups.
I’d love to hear from others who are living with herpes. What has worked for you in managing symptoms and maintaining a healthy lifestyle? Let’s support each other and share what’s worked!
