I’ve been recently diagnosed with interstitial cystitis, and it’s been a tough adjustment. My urologist has suggested trying Elmiron to help protect the bladder lining, but I’m a bit hesitant because of potential side effects. I’m also taking hydroxyzine at night to help with the pain and sleep disturbances.
Has anyone here tried these medications for IC? What has been your experience in terms of effectiveness and side effects? I’m open to any advice or experiences you can share. It would be great to know what others have found helpful in managing their symptoms.
