Lymphogranuloma Venereum (LGV) is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by specific strains of Chlamydia trachomatis. It often begins with small, painless sores on the genitals or rectum and may progress to painful swelling of lymph nodes in the groin or pelvis if untreated. Though uncommon, it’s fully treatable with antibiotics when detected early.
