Hello community,
I recently underwent abdominal surgery, and the recovery process has been more challenging than I expected. The first few days were really tough with the pain, especially when moving around or trying to get out of bed. My doctor prescribed **oxycodone** for the pain, but I’ve been trying to wean off it due to the side effects.
One thing that has helped me a lot is using a body pillow for support while sleeping and getting up slowly to avoid straining the incision area. I’ve also been doing some gentle stretching exercises to help with stiffness and prevent blood clots, as recommended by my physical therapist.
For anyone who’s just had surgery, my advice is to be patient with yourself and listen to your body. It takes time to heal, and it’s okay to ask for help when you need it.
Sending healing vibes to all!
