Seeking Advice for Recurring Hamstring Strain

Hi all,

 

I’m an avid amateur soccer player, but I’ve been plagued by recurring hamstring strains over the past year. Each time I think I’m fully healed, the injury comes back, often worse than before. I’m looking for advice on prevention and perhaps some insights into what I might be doing wrong. Here’s what I currently do:

– Warm up for at least 20 minutes before playing

– Cool down stretches after every game

– Regular hamstring strengthening exercises

 

Has anyone successfully overcome a similar cycle? Any tips on additional precautions or changes to my routine would be greatly appreciated.
