Hello community,
I’ve been living with trigeminal neuralgia for about five years, and after trying multiple medications and therapies without much success, I decided to undergo microvascular decompression surgery last year. It was a tough decision, but the pain had become too much to handle.
The surgery itself was nerve-wracking, but I’m glad to say it significantly reduced my pain. I still experience occasional twinges, but it’s nothing compared to the debilitating shocks I used to have. The recovery took a while, and I had to be patient with myself, but it was worth it for the relief.
For those considering surgery, I’d suggest talking to your doctor about all the risks and benefits. It’s a big step, but for me, it made a huge difference in my quality of life.
Wishing everyone here the best on their journey to find relief!
