Description
The best office chair is the one that fits you, and the Workliving Zuidas Mesh offers a lot of ways to make it fit. It’s a European ergonomic chair with a mesh back, an upholstered seat and a long list of adjustments.
Adjustments, top to bottom
- Lumbar: a rotary knob sets how far the lower-back support pushes forward.
- Backrest: mesh, adjustable in height.
- Arms: slanted armrests adjust in height, width and depth, with lockable 4D pads.
- Seat: height via a 140 mm chrome gas lift, and 7 cm of depth adjustment.
- Tilt: a Donati D109 synchronized mechanism with automatic weight regulation, counter-pressure control and four fixed positions.
Who it’s sized for
It meets the (N)EN 1335 office-chair standard for people 151 to 192 cm tall. Workliving sells NPR 1813 Zuidas versions for taller users.
Build
Polished aluminum base, 60 mm castors for hard and soft floors. It’s made with 58% recycled material and is 98.1% recyclable at end of life. It arrives fully assembled. Workliving suggests the mesh back for a cooler feel in warm rooms.
Warranty
15 years of full on-site service at home or the office. Upholstery wear isn’t covered.
Set it up properly
A chair with this many settings only helps once it’s set to your body and desk. Take time with the lumbar, seat depth and arms, and use Workliving’s downloadable manual. Getting up and moving regularly matters too.
If you have ongoing back or neck complaints, check with a clinician or ergonomics adviser before changing your seating. The free Pain Check-Up can help you organize your symptoms, and the back and neck pain groups talk workstation setups often.
