ItHurtsGrowth is the rewards and profile progress system inside ItHurts. If you are new, think of it as a friendly way to see your activity, collect achievements, unlock avatars, and understand how you are participating in the community.
Take part, earn XP, unlock things, and let your profile show your journey.
What should I do first?
- Complete your profile so other members know who they are talking to.
- Check your profile area to see your XP, level, badges, gifts, and rewards.
- Spin the Fortune Wheel once a day when it appears.
- Visit the Avatar Shop if you want to unlock a new profile look with XP.
- Take part naturally: reply, comment, invite friends, join challenges, and support others.
Your community progress score
XP is like a friendly progress score. You earn it by taking part in the ItHurts community: visiting, completing your profile, posting, replying, commenting, liking helpful posts, joining challenges, inviting friends, and receiving special rewards from the team.
Spin the Fortune Wheel
Every logged-in member can spin the Fortune Wheel once each day. The wheel can give XP, gifts, streak boosts, badges, or special rewards. If you already spun today, come back tomorrow for another chance.
Show what you are known for
Badges are small achievement icons shown on profiles and member cards. They help others quickly understand if someone is active, welcoming, helpful, consistent, or part of a special group. Hover over a badge to see what it means.
Move up as you participate
Levels turn XP into visible growth. As your XP increases, your community rank improves. You do not need to do everything at once. Small helpful actions over time still count.
Choose a profile look
If you do not want to upload a photo, you can use an ItHurts avatar. Some avatars are free and some can be unlocked with XP. You can switch avatars later, and you can still upload your own profile picture whenever you want.
Collect surprise rewards
Gifts are extra rewards from the Fortune Wheel, community events, or the ItHurts team. They may appear in your reward history so you can see what you received and when.
Come back and build momentum
A streak rewards regular activity. It is a simple way to encourage members to return, check in, support others, and stay connected with the community.
Join guided community goals
Challenges are focused goals the site team can create. A challenge might ask members to complete profiles, invite friends, join a conversation, or take part in a helpful community action.
Invite people who belong here
Referrals let members invite friends with a personal link. When invited members join, you can earn XP, badge progress, and special community rewards.
See active community members
Leaderboards show members who are active in positive ways. They are meant to celebrate helpful participation, not pressure anyone.
Understand what you earned
Your points history shows how XP was added. It helps you understand what actions counted and how your progress is growing over time.
