Description
A monitor sitting too low pulls your head forward for hours a day, and that’s a common reason necks and upper backs ache by evening. A monitor arm lets you raise the screen to where your eyes naturally land. The Dataflex Viewgo is an entry-level arm for one screen.
Ways it moves
- Height: a 210 mm range, set with a turning knob. It’s a static adjustment, so you set it and leave it rather than bobbing it up and down.
- Depth: adjusts independently, bringing the screen closer or pushing it back.
- Screen angle: tilt +90°/-50°, swivel 90° either way, and full 360° rotation for portrait mode.
- Arm: swivels 360°.
Will your monitor fit?
| VESA mount | 75 × 75 or 100 × 100 mm |
| Monitor weight | Up to 8 kg |
| Monitor height | Up to 900 mm |
| Desk (clamp) | 5 to 40 mm thick |
| Desk (grommet) | Up to 60 mm thick |
Check your screen’s weight and the hole pattern on its back before ordering, and measure your desktop.
Build and setup
The main parts are steel in a slim design, in black. A foam rubber anti-slip layer keeps the fixing firm and protects the desk. You get both a desk clamp and a through-desk grommet fixing, cable clips, and the installation tool. It meets the BS EN ISO 9241-5 ergonomic standard for business use and comes with a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Setting it up for your neck
A common starting point is the top of the screen at or just below eye level, about an arm’s length away, so you look slightly down without bending your neck. Adjust from there until it feels easy. If you have ongoing neck or back problems, a clinician or ergonomics adviser can help you get the setup right. Neck pain with arm numbness or weakness needs a medical check.
The free Pain Check-Up can help you see if your desk is part of the picture, and the back and neck pain groups are full of desk-setup advice.
