Description
Some people want tape that blends in. Others want it to be seen. This box of KT Tape Original Cotton comes in purple, and apart from the color it’s the same cotton tape KT Tape sells in black, beige and other shades.
Why people tape the elbow and forearm
Repetitive gripping and lifting, from racquet sports to carrying shopping, can leave the elbow and forearm aching. Many people find kinesiology tape gives a sense of support and reminds them how they’re moving, while the elastic core still lets the arm bend and rotate comfortably. It’s used on plenty of other areas too.

Skin check
If your skin is easily irritated, try a small piece first on tougher skin such as the knee or forearm, applied with no stretch. How long it stays on depends on your skin, your activity and how it was put on.
The honest limits
KT Tape notes it isn’t clinically proven for all injuries. Check with a clinician before using it if your pain is ongoing or unexplained, or if you have a skin condition. Elbow pain with numbness in the fingers, or a sudden pop and bruising in the arm, should be examined.
