Domyos EB Essential Exercise Bike – 3 kg Flywheel, Black

Overview

The Domyos EB Essential is an entry-level upright exercise bike from Decathlon India, in black. It has a 3 kg flywheel and manual resistance (Decathlon’s product title says 7 levels, its specification table 8), and a console that runs on batteries so the bike can stand anywhere without a mains cord. Decathlon lists it for occasional use, up to about two sessions a week.

The console shows four functions: time, distance, speed and calories burnt. The seat height adjusts (Decathlon suggests setting it to hip height when standing next to the bike), and two stabilisers at the back of the base rest on the floor. It measures 87 × 48 × 121 cm, weighs 20 kg. Decathlon’s specification table gives a maximum user weight of 100 kg, while the product title says 110 kg. Decathlon quotes an assembly time of about 30 minutes and gives a 2 year warranty on parts and labour, with 5 years on metal parts.

• The console shows time, distance, speed and calories only; no heart-rate reading is listed for this model.
• It arrives boxed (24 kg) and needs assembly; Decathlon recommends foam floor pads under the bike to protect the floor and limit vibration and noise.
