Why the edge coils matter

If getting in and out of bed hurts, a firm edge gives you something stable to sit on while you gather yourself. Edge support also means you can use more of the surface without feeling like you’ll roll off. The wrapped coils move on their own, so a partner’s tossing is less likely to travel across the bed.

Choosing a height

SweetNight describes each height differently: 10 inches for firm support, 12 for balanced, 14 for plush and 16 for maximum luxury. The 14-inch option has been listed as sold out, so check what’s available. Sizes are Full (53 x 75 in), Queen (60 x 80 in), King (76 x 80 in) and California King.

Practical points

It arrives rolled. Keep it in the box until it’s in the right room, then let it rest 72 hours after unpacking. You get a 100-night trial (keep it at least 30 nights before returning) and a 10-year limited warranty on manufacturing defects such as a sag deeper than 1 inch. The warranty doesn’t cover simply preferring a different feel. It’s listed as HSA/FSA eligible.
