Description
It’s the middle of the night. You flip the pillow for the cool side, find it already warm, and spend the next ten minutes folding it under your neck trying to find an angle that doesn’t pull. By morning your shoulders are tight and you blame the bed. Often it’s just the height of what’s under your head.
Why the zipper matters more than the cooling
Each pillow is filled with a 50/50 blend of shredded memory foam and down-alternative fiber, with a gentle slow rebound. The cover unzips, so you can take fill out or add it back until the loft suits you. Side sleepers usually need more height to fill the gap between ear and shoulder. Back sleepers usually need less. If you’ve only ever used a fixed pillow, this is the part worth spending time on — adjust a handful at a time, then sleep on it a few nights before judging.
Two sides, two levels of cool
The cover has a temp-balancing fabric on one side and an ultra-cooling, cool-to-the-touch fabric on the other, with about 34% added cooling essence. A breathable mesh gusset runs around the edge for airflow. If you run hot, or heat makes your neck feel worse, you can just flip to the side you want instead of chasing a cold spot.
Washing, and what not to wash
- The outer pillowcase unzips and is machine washable
- The inner cover and the shredded foam are not washable
- Tumble dry the outer cover below 130°F (60°C)
- Do not iron
The foam is CertiPUR-US certified and the fabric is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. It comes as a 2-pack in Queen or King.
Being straight with you
A pillow is a comfort tool. Many people find the right loft takes pressure off the neck and shoulders, and some people use a cooler surface to settle faster at night. It won’t fix a disc problem or a worn joint. Give yourself a week or two to adapt — a new pillow height can feel odd before it feels right. If your neck pain is new and severe, came after a fall or crash, or comes with numbness, weakness in an arm, or fever, see a doctor rather than changing bedding.
If you want to make sense of where your pain is coming from, the free Pain Check-Up is a good start, and you’ll find people comparing sleep setups in the back and neck pain groups on this page.
