Description
Overview
The Tega Design Rigid Carbon Fiber Insole is a 1.3 mm plate made to slip under the insole already in your shoe. Remove the existing insole, place the carbon plate underneath and put the insole back on top — no trimming is needed. Its reversible design and slim profile let it sit flat in most everyday footwear, from athletic shoes to work boots and casual shoes.
Sizing is based on your existing insole rather than your shoe label: pull out the original insole, measure its length, and pick a carbon fiber insole 0.2 inch shorter. Sizing varies between brands, so the measurement matters. Tega Design includes a 3-year warranty, and gloves are recommended when handling the insole because of sharp edges or residue.

What’s in the box
- 1 × rigid carbon fiber insole (1.3 mm, men’s 6.5)
Good for
- Everyday wear when you want firm, flat support under the foot
- Long days on your feet in sneakers or work shoes
- Running, hiking and court sports once you are used to walking with it
- Switching between left and right shoes thanks to the reversible shape
Things to consider
- Measure your original insole and choose a carbon fiber insole 0.2 inch shorter — shoe sizing varies by brand, and one shopper found the labelled size ran short.
- Wear gloves when handling the insole to avoid injury from sharp edges or residue.
- Sold as a single piece, so order two if you want support in both shoes.
- A rigid footbed changes how your shoe flexes; Tega Design advises starting with short periods of wear and building up over several days, and checking with a clinician first if you have an existing foot or ankle condition.
