KT Tape Pro is a 100% synthetic kinesiology tape designed with a stronger adhesive intended to stay in place through multiple workouts. According to the manufacturer, it can be worn in the shower, in the pool, or at the beach, and its synthetic performance fibers are fast-drying and water resistant. The adhesive is formulated to remain in place for 4 to 7 days.
The tape’s elastic core is described as offering support for muscles, joints and tendons without restricting range of motion, and as retaining elasticity better over time than cotton kinesiology tape. Some people use kinesiology tape on the forearm and elbow area; KT Tape notes that its products are not clinically proven for all injuries.
Each box contains 20 pre-cut strips, 10 inches long and 2 inches wide, with rounded corners to help keep edges from catching on clothing or fraying. A Quick Start Guide with step-by-step instructions for common injuries is included. The tape is latex-free, hypoallergenic and natural rubber-free, though KT Tape recommends that anyone with sensitive skin test a small piece applied with no stretch on tougher skin, such as the knee or forearm, first.
