Description
Overview
The Squatty Potty Original is a one-piece moulded plastic footstool shaped to fit around the base of a toilet. In use it raises the feet so the body moves from a seated 90° position towards a 35° squat; when not in use it tucks under the bowl. This listing is the 7 in standard height in White, which Squatty Potty’s size chart image sizes for standard toilets measuring 14–16 in from the floor to the top of the lip (a 9 in version exists for comfort-height toilets of 16.5–18 in).
The top has an anti-slip surface for the feet and the feet of the stool are designed to keep it from sliding around. There is no assembly: the stool is one piece with no nuts or bolts, and Squatty Potty describes the plastic as easy to clean. Squatty Potty states it is made for squatting while seated on the toilet and is not to be used as a step.

What’s in the box
- 1 Squatty Potty Original toilet stool, 7 in, White
Good for
- Standard-height toilets (14–16 in to the top of the lip)
- Bathrooms where the stool needs to tuck away under the bowl between uses
- Households that want a one-piece stool with no assembly that is easy to clean
- People who want their feet raised into a squat position while seated
Things to consider
- Measure the toilet from the floor to the top of the lip before choosing: 14–16 in suits the 7 in stool, 16.5–18 in (comfort height) suits the 9 in version.
- The maker states the stool is for squatting while seated on the toilet and is not to be used as a step.
- Squatty Potty’s product page shows differing figures: 350 lb and 17.38 × 11.38 × 7.63 in in one description block, 250 lb and 13 × 21 × 7 in in another, and 20.87 × 12.87 × 7.75 in, 1.6 lb and 250 lb in its Measurements & Dimensions section; the measurements-section figures and the lower weight limit are listed here.
- Keep the top surface clean and dry so the anti-slip texture can grip.
