Description
Overview
The Verilux HappyLight Luxe (model VT43WW3) is a flat, white LED light therapy lamp that delivers up to 10,000 lux, measured by Verilux at 6 inches. Three touch controls on the front set the brightness (2,500, 5,000, 7,500 or 10,000 lux), the colour of the white light (warm white 3,500 K, medium white 4,250 K or daylight 5,000 K) and a countdown timer, which runs for one hour with a quick touch or can be set in 5-minute steps and paused.
The light is UV-free, and Verilux lists flicker-elimination and glare-control features. The lamp stands on a detachable stand or hangs from the keyhole mount on its back, and it runs from the supplied power adapter (100–240 V input, 20 V DC to the lamp). Verilux lists the lamp at 11.7 (h) × 7.5 (w) × 0.5 (d) and 2 lb, and backs it with a three-year limited warranty.

Things to consider
- Verilux’s manual says to consult a healthcare provider before use if taking certain medications (it names anti-depressants), with a diagnosed mental health condition, with an existing eye condition or at risk of age-related macular degeneration, and to stop using the lamp if any discomfort occurs.
- Do not look directly into the lamp; it is positioned so the light reaches the open eyes, and tinted glasses reduce the light received.
- Indoor use on a hard, level surface, away from water; use only the supplied adapter, never with dimmers, timers or voltage transformers, and do not cover the lamp while it is on.
- Close supervision is recommended when the lamp is used by or near children.
