3M Cavilon Durable Barrier Cream is a concentrated, long-lasting, pH-balanced, waterproof skin barrier cream made with 3M polymer technology. It resists wash-off, so frequent reapplication isn’t needed, and it still allows adhesive tapes and dressings to stick to the skin. The formula is fragrance-free, non-greasy and does not clog briefs, diapers or continence pads. Because the cream is concentrated, a little goes a long way and less product is used with each application. It vanishes into the skin for easy visualisation and observation, can be applied with gloves on, and is compatible with chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG). It is also used alongside Cavilon No Rinse Skin Cleanser and Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film as part of a wider skin care routine.
