Description
Overview
The PlayMakar PRO Wireless Muscle Stimulator skips wires entirely. The PRO-1000 remote has a backlit display and is rechargeable, while the slim receiver pods snap onto electrodes and sit discreetly under clothing. Pods run 3–5 hours per charge and the hand control 5–10 hours, so it travels easily to the gym, the course or the office.
Fourteen pre-set programs cover both sides of the system: EMS modes for warm-up, muscle recovery, active recovery, endurance and strengthening, plus TENS modes aimed at temporary relief of sore and aching muscles in the lower back, arms and legs. Intensity adjusts across 25 levels, pods can be tuned independently across up to four channels, and extra pods are sold in pairs.

Things to consider
- Electrode pads wear out with use and will need replacing; extra pods are sold separately in pairs.
- Pods need regular recharging — 3–5 hours of use per charge means planning ahead for longer days.
- If you’re pregnant, have a pacemaker or implanted device, or have an ongoing pain issue, check with a clinician before using electrical stimulation.
- Learning which of the 14 programs suits you takes a little experimenting; the user manual is a download rather than a printed booklet.
