Description

If your shoes came with thin, flat insoles and your feet are sore by lunchtime, swapping the insole is one of the cheaper things to try. These Boldfit insoles add a memory foam base, arch support and gel pads, and you trim them to fit the shoes you already own.

Layer by layer

Base: high-density memory foam that takes the shape of your foot rather than staying flat.
Arch: built-in ergonomic arch support.
Gel pads: placed at the points that take the most load as you step.
Odor control: for long days in closed shoes.

Boldfit describes them as lightweight and durable, and they are made to move between work shoes, trainers and boots.

Size UK 3–7, in Boldfit’s Pack 2 (SKU BFSIP002BLUEPACK2). A UK 8–11 range is sold separately. Because they are cut to fit, expect to trim them: lay your shoe’s original insole on top as a template, mark the outline, and cut a little at a time. Check the photos and size options on Boldfit’s page before ordering. Made in China for Bling Brands Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru.

Give your feet time

New arch support can feel odd for the first few days. Many people wear new insoles for a few hours at first and build up.

Check with a professional if

You have diabetes, reduced feeling in your feet or an ongoing foot condition; a clinician or podiatrist should advise before you change insoles. Heel pain that is worst with your first steps in the morning, or foot pain with swelling or numbness, is worth getting assessed.

The free Pain Check-Up can help you make sense of foot and arch pain, and the ankle, foot and heel groups share what has worked in their work shoes.
