Description
This is a kitchen appliance rather than a pain product. The ECHO Flow sits out of sight in the cabinet under your sink and adds hydrogen to filtered water as it runs to the tap. It’s in our wellness and hydration section for people who already have water filtration at home and are curious about hydrogen water.
How it works
The Echo Hydrogen Module dissolves 99.99% pure molecular hydrogen into the water stream, up to 1.21 ppm at the tap, without changing pH. ORP is listed at up to −500 mV, depending on your water and flow rate. Sensors start production when you open the tap and stop when you close it, so nothing sits in a tank. An internal pump keeps flow at up to 1.2 liters a minute, even after a reverse osmosis tank.
It needs filtered water first
The Flow has no filters of its own. It must sit downstream of a reverse osmosis or whole-house system delivering at least 10 psi. Unfiltered tap or well water can’t be used and isn’t covered by the warranty. Echo sells a tankless RO system as an add-on if you don’t have one.
Install checklist
- 9.5 × 9.5 inches of cabinet wall, 3.5 inches deep.
- A live outlet under the sink (it uses a 100 W, 12 V adapter); Echo’s manual says to use a surge protector.
- This is the No Faucet option, for a compatible accessory faucet that needs a 15/16 to 1 inch hole in the countertop.
- Output can be split to the faucet, a refrigerator water line or an ice maker.
- In the box: the unit, power supply, 5 ft of 1/4 inch tubing, two clips and a removal fork.
Supply pressure should be 10 to 71 psi, and water temperature 41 to 104°F. Echo says not to run the unit continuously for more than 10 minutes at a time. It weighs 3.85 lbs and carries a 10-year warranty (excluding use without prefiltration). It was formerly sold as the Echo H2 Server.
Keep it in perspective
Staying well hydrated matters when you live with pain, and plain water does that job. If you have a health condition or dietary restrictions, check with a clinician first.
The free Pain Check-Up looks at daily habits as part of the picture, and the wellness and rehab groups are a place to talk about routines.
