Overview
Instead of a filter pitcher, an ionizer, a countertop hydrogen generator and cleaning sprays, the ECHO Ultimate handles all four from one water line. Hydrogen water for drinking comes out at up to 1.46 ppm, alkaline water runs across four levels for rinsing produce and wiping counters, acidic water offers four levels that Echo lists for rinses and kitchen cleaning, and Echo states the five-stage filter removes up to 99% of contaminants.
A PEM hydrogen module with two platinum-coated electrodes makes the hydrogen water, and nine platinum-over-titanium electrodes make the alkaline and acidic water. This listing is the countertop install with no faucet, connected to your existing faucet with the included diverter and spout.

Things to consider
- On the counter it sits beside the sink, with the acidic water line draining into the sink. Do not run hot water through it, and keep it away from frost and direct sunlight.
- An under-sink install needs the ECHO digital faucet, not included with this option, and 10 × 9 × 15 in of cabinet space.
- Alkaline water above level 2 (about pH 9) is for cleaning only and acidic water should never be drunk; Echo advises asking your physician before drinking alkaline water regularly. Keep the pH test reagent (combustible) away from children.
- Plan for one replacement filter about once a year, plus an optional cleaning cartridge.
