Description
Imagine lying down at the end of a long day and wrapping yourself in light rather than pointing a panel at one spot. That’s the idea behind the Mvolo Red Light Therapy Blanket: one session that covers your back, neck, shoulders, hips and legs together.
What’s inside
LEDs at two wavelengths: 660 nm red and 850 nm near-infrared. The system runs at 320 W on a 24 V low-voltage supply, built into a three-layer breathable fabric designed to manage temperature so longer sessions stay comfortable. The blanket measures 180 × 80 × 30 cm.
Settings
You choose the brightness, temperature and pulsing setting, and set the timer. Mvolo suggests 20 to 30 minutes per session, 3 to 5 times a week. You can lie in it or sit up with it around you, on a bed, sofa or the floor.
Why a blanket over a panel
Panels cover what’s in front of them, so full-body sessions mean turning around or moving the device. A blanket wraps around, which suits people with aches in many places at once. It also folds up for storage or travel. The trade-off is space: you need somewhere to lay out nearly two meters of blanket.
Evidence for red and near-infrared light on widespread aches is still developing, so it’s best as a relaxing addition to the care you already rely on, not a replacement.
Practical points
- CE certified, with a 2-year warranty.
- A 90-day try-at-home return period gives you time to see if it fits your routine.
Check with your doctor first
Mvolo says to check with your doctor before starting light therapy if you’re pregnant, take medication, or have a health condition. That includes medicines that make skin light-sensitive. All-over pain with fatigue, fever or weight loss deserves a medical look.
Living with widespread pain? The free Pain Check-Up can help, and the nerve, whole-body and fibromyalgia groups are full of people who understand.
