Description
Does the light creeping under the curtains feel like it goes straight into your head? When pain already has you awake at 3 a.m., a flat strip of fabric pressing on your eyelids isn’t much help. This one is built differently.
What the 3D cups actually change
The mask is contoured with deep eye cups, so the silk sits around your eyes instead of on them. Your lashes aren’t flattened, your eyeballs aren’t compressed, and your eyes can move freely while you sleep. If you’re a side sleeper, wear lash extensions, or find any pressure near your eyes unbearable on a bad light-sensitivity day, that shape matters more than the fabric.
The strap adjusts, so you can keep it loose enough to avoid a tight band across the back of your head.
About the silk
It’s 100% grade 6A+ mulberry silk at 23 momme, double-sided, soft and light on the face. Momme is a weight measure for silk — higher numbers mean a denser, more durable fabric. The silk is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, meaning it’s been tested for harmful substances, which is worth knowing if your skin reacts to almost everything. Ten colors, from black and navy blue to champagne, dusk and gold.
The earplugs, and being realistic
Two sleeping earplugs come in the box with the mask. Use them clean, place them gently, and don’t push them deep. If you’ve had ear surgery, ear pain or drainage, ask your doctor before using plugs. Also think twice if you need to hear a child, an alarm or a care partner at night.
This is a comfort tool. Darkness and quiet can make it easier to settle, and many people with migraine or photophobia keep one by the bed. It won’t change what’s causing your pain. New, severe or worsening pain, numbness, weakness, fever, or pain after an injury deserves a doctor’s eyes, not a sleep mask.
Keeping it usable
Machine washable in cold water on a delicate cycle, in a mesh bag, with silk detergent sheets. Air dry cool. Skip the dryer if you want the silk to last.
