Overview
The HealthPro Plus XE is IQAir’s room air purifier for medium to large rooms, rated by IQAir for up to 1,125 sq ft (104 m²). Air is drawn in through the arched base and passes three stacked filter stages: a PreMax F8 pre-filter, a V5-Cell gas and odor filter filled with MultiGas activated carbon and impregnated alumina, and a HyperHEPA H12/13 particle filter. It then leaves through the EvenFlow diffuser on top.
The XE version adds an on-board PM2.5 sensor, a color-scale air quality indicator and Wi-Fi. In smart mode the fan speed follows the measured air quality, and the IQAir AirVisual app adds remote control, schedules and a control panel lock. Each unit is tested at IQAir’s production facility in Switzerland before packing and ships with its own certificate of performance.

Things to consider
- It is a large unit: 28 in tall and 35 lb with filters, with casters included for moving it.
- The three filters are replaced on different schedules (about 18, 24 and 48 months at 10 hours a day on speed 3); actual filter life depends on use and pollution levels.
- The Wi-Fi connects to 2.4 GHz networks only.
- IQAir’s manual: indoor use only, upright on a firm surface (not on a bed or soft furnishings), at least 12 in (30 cm) of clearance, not next to a humidifier, and not as the only protection against harmful pollutants.
- IQAir’s own store lists only the XE version; some sellers may still list the earlier HealthPro Plus without Wi-Fi and sensor, so check the model name on the listing.
