Overview
The AirDoctor AD3500 Classic is a freestanding home air purifier with three filter stages that work from the outside in: a pre-filter that collects larger particles such as dust, pet hair and lint, a Carbon/VOC filter made of activated carbon with potassium permanganate for gases, VOCs and odors, and an UltraHEPA® filter. AirDoctor states that the UltraHEPA® filter captures 99.99% of airborne particles as small as 0.003 microns. The unit takes the same AirDoctor 3000-series replacement filters as the earlier AD3000.
AirDoctor states that the AD3500 circulates the air in a room of up to 630 sq ft four times per hour, with a smoke CADR of 340. In auto mode a PM2.5 sensor tracks the air and the unit adjusts its fan speed on its own; there are 4 fan speeds, an air quality indicator, a 24-hour timer and indicator lights that show when a filter is due for replacement. The Classic version is controlled from the panel on the unit and has no Wi-Fi or app connection.
